To use RD Web Access, your computer must be running a modern web browser (latest version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox), and your PC must support RDC version 10 or above (Windows 10), latest MAC OS.
To determine the RDP version that RDC supports, start Remote Desktop Connection, click the icon in the upper-left corner of the Remote Desktop Connection dialog box, and then click About. The RDP version that RDC supports is listed in the About Remote Desktop Connection dialog box.
RDC 10.0 supports Remote Desktop Protocol 10. This version at a minimum is included with the following operating systems:
- Windows Server 2016-2022
- Windows 10
- Windows 11
- MAC OS requires the Microsoft Remote Desktop app to be installed
The version of RDC that you're using determines which features of RD Web Access are available to you.
To use the vNet system from and Android or iOS device, the free Microsoft Remote Desktop app (RD Client) is required. This can be downloaded from the App Store for iOS or the Play store on Android.
The RD Client Mobile App has the following requirements:
- iOS should be a version supported by Apple
- Must be running a current Android version (generally this means a phone less than 5 years old)
- 4G LTE connectivity with good or excellent signal
- 5G highly recommended
- WiFi is recommended if cell signal is weak
